HMS DRAKE CAF owns a yacht called 'Sunny' that is a Jeanneau SO40, 10m in length, that is available to hire by suitably qualified personnel. The yacht has 3 cabins onboard and can accommodate up to 8 people. The yacht is berthed on the pontoons located on Western Mill Jetty, HM Naval Base Devonport.

HMS DRAKE CAF owns a yacht called Sunny that is a Jeanneau SO40, 10m in length, that is available to hire by suitably qualified personnel. The yacht has 3 cabins onboard and can accommodate up to 8 people. The yacht is berthed on the pontoons located on Western Mill Jetty, HM Naval Base Devonport.

The yacht is available for hire by the week, weekend or on a daily basis for either personal use, family holidays or for AT and Team Building.

The yacht is available from Mar through to Nov 26.

In order to hire the yacht the skipper must hold a minimum of a RYA day skipper and this certification must be provided before the booking is confirmed.  However, there is a list of available skippers to use should you not have the required qualification.  If any more information is required then please contact the yacht officer Lt Cdr Beanland, email - peter.beanland626@mod.gov.uk. 

Payment Terms

Deposit

Upon confirmation of your booking request by the CAF Office, please ensure to make a deposit payment of £100 within two working days to secure your reservation.

Remaining Balance

The outstanding balance is required to be settled in full six weeks before the hire date; failure to do so will result in us reserving the right to cancel your reservation.

Bedding

No bedding is provided, therefore all personnel should provide their own bedding and towels.

Should you need to cancel your booking, refunds are processed in accordance with the timeframes below:

More than 12 weeks                   Complete refund of all monies paid

6-12 weeks                                  Deposit is retained unless a                                                                         replacement booking can be found.

Less than 6 weeks                      Deposit is completely non-refundable

We recognise that the requirements of the Service may necessitate changes to plans.  Should you need to cancel or modify your booking due to Service Reasons, please contact the CAF manager Ian Burke - ian.burke967@mod.gov.uk

Individuals are responsible for submitting the necessary forms for non passholders to the dockyard, to the Pass Office in plenty of time.

The following charges will be levied for Hiring the Yacht:

• Private Use - £200 per day or £1200 per week
• AT - £100 per day or £500 per week
